VNHS Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Program

Does someone you care about suffer from Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease?  We can help.

Our Alzheimer's Support Program provides a full range of care in the home for those diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. Our caring and compassionate clinicians offer in-home assessments, disease management, information, education and respite care.

Caring for someone who has Alzheimer’s disease is difficult, which is why we support both persons with dementia and their family caregivers. Our respite program gives caregivers much needed personal time to ease the daily stress of caring for their loved one.  An important part of this program is the exceptional personal care and support offered to the client by our home health attendants under the supervision of a registered nurse.  If you have questions and concerns, our program will teach you more about the disease’s progression and how to better care for your loved one.

Through the Georgia chapter of the American Parkinson's Disease Association Foundation, we also provide in-home partial-day or full-day respite care for caregivers of Parkinson's disease patients. Financial aid may also be available, if needed. Privately-purchased, long-term care insurance may pay for these services.

For more information, and to find out if you and your loved one are eligible for this program, call us at, 404-222-2417.
