Our work in the community

Because we are a community nonprofit, the people we serve are our only shareholders.  Earnings we receive are given back to our patients and the community we serve through innovative patient care programs and continuing education for our clinicians who deliver that care.

Each year, Visiting Nurse Health System and our community partners provide over $4 million of needed programs and services to the community.  We partner with exceptional nonprofit organizations such as Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, The Fuqua Center for Late Life Depression,  the Atlanta Regional Commission, the Atlanta Housing Authority, the Alzheimer’s Association (Georgia Chapter) and many others.  Our community services include everything from providing free flu shots, to operating a food pantry in collaboration with the Atlanta Community Food Bank, to managing or coordinating health services for the senior community, helping them stay independent and in their homes for as long as possible. 

These programs make us unique among home healthcare providers in the Metro Atlanta area.
